Spring 2026 Fashion Trends I’ll Be Wearing in NYC
After a few months working in the Bay Area sunshine, I'm starting to think about what to pack for my return to NYC this spring. As a personal stylist who works regularly in New York, I know spring in the city is beautiful but unpredictable. The weather is always changing, the humidity is thick, and layers are non-negotiable. Luckily, this season is full of lightweight, versatile pieces that make dressing for the city actually fun.
Here are the Spring 2026 trends I'll be reaching for.
Baby Blue
A surprisingly flattering color on many people, this soft blue is also very versatile. Pair it with something bold or wear it with brown. Either way, this color will be everywhere this spring.
Fringe
Growing up in Texas, fringe always reminded me of cowgirls and rodeos, I even wrote about it in my Cowboy Couture blog post. But this spring, fringe is all about movement and attitude. It’s sexy, glittery, and adds great energy to the season.
Balloon Pants
I know what you’re thinking-those are genie pants! But this season balloon pants can be for all of us. Seen all over the spring runways, they can actually look quite romantic (and are very comfortable!) when paired with a simple top and delicate shoes.
Bright Bold Colors (and combos!)
Nothing says spring like bright pretty colors. This season color blocking and bold color combinations are strong on the runways, and a beautiful bright season is upon us.
Tailored layers
Layers are a necessity in the spring, especially in NYC where the weather can change by the hour. This season, tailored layers like structured jackets and sharp suiting add a little edge to all the softness we’re seeing everywhere else.
Romance
Supposedly it’s not dead. This season is feminine, fluid and flirty. Think ruffles, satin, lace and delicate florals. At least we can wear it if nothing else.
I'm heading back to NYC this spring and have a few client spots open for personal styling and shopping. If you've been wanting help pulling together a wardrobe that actually works for your life,
